I heard Jack preach most of the Great Words About Salvation series, and have used selected messages in Note form from time to time since. It is one of his best, in my opinion. At the time all those words seemed like hot buttons, individually. Now the general evangelical climate seems far less uptight or concerned with definition. Too bad. In two weeks I will be speaking on "calling" and will refer to this series of Jack's in my preparation. Additionally, I find the sensitivity to individual theological terms that Jack insisted upon unusual in my experience since then, which includes two stints at a theological seminary. We need more men who want to carefully define our terms, even the most seemingly basic ones like predestination, free will, sovereign and sin.

I'm glad to hear that was one of your favorite series by Jack. So does the PCA, which is why they published the first twelve sermons in the paperback "Great Words." They also asked that the series be removed from ClearTheology.com for the time being, so that was done at their request. Oh well
