Jack was mentored himself while in Dallas by the late Dr. S. Lewis Johnson. Dr. Johnson was a teaching elder at Believer's Chapel for many years and an esteemed professor of New Testament and Systematic Theology at Dallas Seminary until 1976 and then at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School after. He had a deep impact on Jack while in seminary. I believe Dr. Johnson's own weekly Notes ministry was an example of a fine weekly printed ministry, in support of his weekly pulpit ministry. As a "third generation" preacher, I also have enjoyed a printed Notes ministry for the past 26 years. I possess many blue notebooks of both Jack's and Lewis Johnson's Notes. A man's legacy is not always in materials published in book form. Sometimes it is through other channels. I am thankful for the ministry of sermon Notes, blessing me and many others for years to come.

I never met Jack in person. But the resources on the website are wonderful. I find them extremely helpful. However I have found some sermons that cannot open.
